Law on consumer pawn loan
Summary
The bill is intended to guarantee more complete protection for consumer-customers of pawnshops – the introduced provisions define and regulate the concept of “consumer pawn loan,” to which, as a separate type of agreement, the provisions of the Consumer Credit Act will not apply. In addition, the draft introduces mandatory registration in the register of entrepreneurs performing pawnbroking activities, which will be maintained by the Financial Supervision Commission. Supervision of these entities is to be carried out by the Trade Inspection.
