DLT pilot regulation (2022-2023)
Regulation on the pilot system for market infrastructures based on distributed ledger technology (DLT Pilot Regime)
As of March 23, 2023, Regulation (EU) 2022/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a pilot system for market infrastructures based on distributed registry technology (DLT Pilot Regime, DLT Pilot, DLTR) is fully applicable in the European Economic Area. The regulation applies directly, and therefore, unlike the EU directive, it does not require a national implementing act for its application. In practice, adjustments to national regulations are necessary, at least in terms of the tasks and powers of the supervisory authority.
