The Mass Damage & Consumer Foundation (SMC) is launching a class action lawsuit against Klarna. According to the foundation, the company is violating consumer credit regulations on a large scale with its 'pay later’ services, such as 'buy now, pay later’ and 'pay later in 14 or 30 days’. As a result, consumers are faced with unjustified claims, extra costs, and mounting debts, SMC states. The foundation demands that Klarna reimburse consumers for these unjustified costs.
